In a hole in the ground, there lived a hobbit.

And now that hole lives on your book.

This is a fully three-dimensional, hand-sculpted Bag End cover attached to a collector's edition of The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. Every element you see — the round green door, the hand-textured stone arch, the wooden fence rail, the chimney, the rolling Shire hillside above — is sculpted in relief and painted by hand. This is not a sleeve. Not a wrap. Not printed art. It is a sculpture that lives permanently on the book.

What makes this piece:

The stone arch surrounding the door was individually textured by hand — each stone shaped, shaded, and aged separately. The wood grain on the circular door was painted in layers to give it depth and wear. The brass doorknob catches light the way brass should. The moss and greenery across the hillside were built up in multiple paint layers to create the lush, dimensional landscape of the Shire.

This started as an original digital sculpture built from scratch in Nomad Sculpt, printed in resin, and then brought to life entirely by hand with paint, patience, and a genuine love for this story.

What you receive:

A collector's edition of The Hobbit with the Bag End sculptural cover permanently attached and ready to display. This is a finished, displayable piece — not a kit, not a DIY project. It arrives ready for your shelf, your coffee table, or the hands of someone who will never stop talking about it.

Made to order. Because every cover is individually hand-painted, each piece takes approximately [X] weeks from order to shipment. You will receive photos of your specific piece before it ships.

No two are identical. The hand-painting process means your cover will have its own character — the same design, your own piece.

There and back again. But this time it stays on your shelf.
